There’s been some discussion about the complicated history between Marlena and Stefano, along with hints that suggest the Phoenix and his Queen of the Night might have had a child we were unaware of.

We’re also going to discuss a significant twist that could be on the horizon. It seems the writers might have made a major retcon of established history, potentially revealing a surprising twist regarding someone’s maternity.

Not paternity, but maternity, indicating a different mother. So, before we explore the possibility of a Marlena and Stefano baby twist, let’s talk about how it might happen.

The Will Reading Is Set To Bring Major Twists To The Story

The reading of Stefano’s will is set to bring significant twists to the story for many in the DiMera family and those close to them. One of these twists may connect to his strange and long-lasting obsession with Marlena.

Last week, when Abe Carver (James Reynolds) spoke with Theo, he noted that besides Marlena, he believes Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) mother, Celeste Perrault (Beverly Todd), was the only woman Stefano truly loved.

Abe also hinted that Stefano might have had deeper feelings for Celeste than for Marlena, mainly because he had a child with her. But is there more to this story; we are on the verge of a major retcon that could surprise both fans and the DiMera family.

Marlena’s In For A Huge Shock

Considering that Stefano had the eccentric Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) at his disposal, truly anything could happen regarding secret children.

So, will Stefano manipulate Marlena’s life from beyond the grave? We can expect the will to be read in the upcoming week, from May 4th to 8th.

This week, EJ already spent time with Marlena discussing hypnotherapy, as he seeks to uncover more about his experience in the Italian hospital with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). Once again, EJ encouraged Marlena to participate in the will reading, but she seemed uncertain.

Does EJ Know, Or Not?

So, if a twist like this is on the horizon, we can speculate whether EJ is unaware of it or if he’s in the loop. Even though Stefano, who tormented Marlena, is confirmed dead and buried, he continues to occupy her thoughts.

EJ suggested to Marlena that attending Stefano’s will reading might provide her with some closure. Naturally, we know that Marlena is intrigued by the unfolding events-however, she also pointed out that this isn’t entirely new territory for her.

She has been named a beneficiary in several of Stefano’s previous wills-the Phoenix has risen from the dead multiple times, around 13 or 14 to be exact; it’s quite unbelievable.

Secrets Are About To Surface

Secrets that have remained hidden are about to surface. One intriguing possibility, stemming from recent discussions with Abe and Theo regarding Stefano’s obsession with Marlena and their lack of children, is that we might uncover something she’s unaware of. Could it be that Stefano fathered a child with Marlena, and she has no recollection of it?

Are we on the verge of a shocking revelation involving a grown child during the will reading? If that’s the case, we’re left to ponder whether a retcon is in play, revealing that Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) is actually the biological son of Marlena and Stefano.

The Recent Scenes Have Been Full Of Hints

The writers of Days of Our Lives are quite adept at incorporating foreshadowing along with subtle Easter eggs and hints.

For instance, when Theo and Abe discussed Marlena, Celeste, and the fact that Stefano had a child with Celeste but not with Marlena, the very next scene transitioned to Chad conversing with Marlena.

This could potentially be an Easter egg; when Chad first appeared in Salem, you might recall he was just 16 years old. He was introduced as the son of a wealthy couple, Madeline Peterson Woods (Jessica Tuck) and Charles Woods (David Leisure).

However, it was revealed after Madeline’s death that she had been a former call girl who had an affair with Stefano, making him Chad’s real biological father, not her husband.

Chad Being Marlena And Stefano’s Son Would Work

Given that Chad entered the storyline as a troubled teen and was not born on screen, the writers of Days of Our Lives have considerable flexibility if they choose to alter his backstory.

If Marlena is indeed Chad’s biological mother, a significant question arises: why would Marlena be unaware of this? How could it be that Stefano impregnated her, she gave birth to a son, and has no recollection of it?

I have two words for you: Dr. Rolf. We know that Stefano has kidnapped Marlena multiple times, including during the Queen of the Night storyline.

Could Stefano Have Impregnated Marlena While Under Mind Control?

Stefano controlled Marlena’s mind and manipulated her-much of this happened at night while she was dreaming or thought she was dreaming.

So, Stefano might have had consensual sex with Marlena, or it could have been non-consensual since she was drugged and brainwashed, possibly getting her pregnant. Due to the brainwashing and trauma, Marlena might not have remembered or knew about it.

Rolf could have delivered the baby early, put Marlena in a coma, and given the child to Madeline to raise. Rolf might have altered records or brainwashed Marlena into believing she never had a pregnancy or had a stillbirth.

Chad’s Mother Could Have Been Paid Or Forced To Lie

Chad’s mother might have been paid or forced to claim that Stefano’s child with Marlena was her child with her husband.

The truth about Stefano being Chad’s father only came out after her death-they could also change the story to say that Madeline could never reveal Chad’s real parents. Alternatively, Stefano could have had Rolf take Marlena’s eggs during one of the kidnappings.

Just like Rolf did with Kate and Roman’s Brady’s (Lauren Koslow, Josh Taylor)  DNA to create twins Rex and Cassie Brady (Kyle Lowder, Alexis Thorpe), Rolf could have made an embryo from Stefano and Marlena.

Then,  implanted it into Madeline, making her Chad’s surrogate mother instead of his biological mother; but she raised him as her own.

Rolf Also Transplanted Tate

Rolf took Tate Black (Leo Howard) from Theresa Donovan’s (Jen Lilley) womb when he was merely an embryo and placed him in Kristen DiMera‘s (Stacy Haiduk) womb.

Dr. Rolf’s medical expertise also enabled Kristen to conceive Rachel Black (Olivia Lorelei Mote) well beyond her fertility window.

Plus, not that long ago, Rolf attempted to implant a Stefano clone embryo into Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) while she too was beyond her fertility expiration date.

So if it does come out in the will reading that Chad is really Marlena’s, it may be one of the few truly good things Stefano ever did.
