Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note it’s already been a shocking week in Salem. Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) went on a rampage after his wedding to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) was derailed, and while he took Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) as a hostage, he was stopped dead (literally) in his tracks after Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) shot him.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Revenge Versus Public Safety

DOOL spoilers note that while Xand was questioned by Salem PD’s Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) for shooting Konstantin, he was eventually let go.

Xander reasoned that he killed Konstantin for public safety reasons; however, there was doubt that he may have done it for revenge.

The closing scenes of Tuesday’s show were on the eerie side as Xandy had a talk with the portrait of his “Uncle” Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), implying the man could now “rest in peace” knowing that Xander had avenged his murder by killing Konstantin.

DOOL Spoilers – Will Xander Cook’s Dark Side Resurface?

Xander has been on the road to redemption. Initially a villain himself, he’s done some dastardly things over the years.

However, thanks to his romance with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and her mom Maggie, he’s on the straight and narrow. His sweet little daughter Victoria Cook (The Kerr Twins) has also helped inspire him to be a better man.

Still, the look in his eyes during Tuesday’s show hints that a larger storyline could be at play here. Xander is Victor’s son, which means Kiriakis blood is flowing through his veins.

Victor had grown softer in his older years, but at one point he was one of the most evil men to walk Salem’s streets. Could shooting Konstantin re-ignite something in Xander? One major red flag is how he was not forthcoming with Sarah about the shooting as he should have been.

Once Xander finds out the lengths Theresa went to keep his true heritage from him, will he seek revenge, much like his father would have? Could this become Xarah’s next obstacle?
