Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) deprogramming will backfire. When Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) asks him what he remembers, he says he loves her with all his heart-but is he himself?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Knocked Out, Tied Up, Hooked Up

Stefan’s been knocked out, tied up and hooked up by the time Gabi gets Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and some makeshift equipment to the DiMera wine cellar.

The accommodations and the medical equipment leave a lot to be desired as the wiring sputters and sparks while Rolf revs up the machine with electrodes stuck to Stefan’s head. Unfortunately, it seems the turbulence Rolf and the machines went through while flying to Salem may have loosened some wires.

Stefan has been extremely resistant to being deprogrammed even though he’s been extremely angry about being programmed! But now that the process is over, and Gabi hears the music in her ears that he loves her with all his heart, things may not be as they appear.

DOOL Spoilers – He’s Speaking From His Heart-Which Is Jake DiMera’s

Rolf and Gabi quickly realize that something backfired, even though Stefan is definitely speaking from his heart. The only problem is his heart is Jake’s, and by some strange process Jake’s heart is now in Stefan’s mind-not literally, but his emotions and memories! Instead of Stefan’s memories and love for Gabi returning, what he’s experiencing is obviously coming from Jake’s, who was also in love with and involved with Gabi.

They broke up, and he was involved with and engaged to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for about a half a minute before he was shot and died. So what Gabi has now is Jake’s heart and Jake’s memories, feelings and mind in Stefan’s body, and they don’t know how to get Stefan back.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – How Could This Even Happen?

Rolf is mystified as to how this could even happen, considering everything happens in the brain, not in the physical heart as far as memories, feelings of love and attraction. Stefan and Jake never knew each other or even knew of each other until they were adult men, so they never played that ornery identical twin swapping game! Gabi starts playing twenty questions to see what Stefanjake knows and what he doesn’t about each of them and their lives.

It’s kind of mean, but she knows Stefan was never that close to Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) like Jake once was. She tests him by telling him about Kate’s untimely death and he reacts in extreme grief like Jake, adding to the confusion.
