Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Stephanie Arrested After Pulling Trigger, But Is Owen The Victim Or Someone Else?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) has been trying to reclaim her life in the aftermath of all the hostage chaos.

Days fans will recall that Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) kidnapped Stephanie and held her captive along with Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark), so she’s determined to protect herself against future threats.

That’s why Stephanie insisted on obtaining a firearm, but she’s setting herself up for trouble by not following Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) safety rules.

Stephanie is keeping her gun loaded and out of the safe, so it’s obvious that things are about to go horribly wrong.

In the April 27 episode, Days writers offered up some other potential clues about where this storyline may be headed.

Stephanie imagined Owen as the target during her trip to the shooting range, so that says a lot about where her head is at right now.

As if that wasn’t clear enough, Stephanie flat-out admitted it’d be a relief if she could shoot Owen and avoid any worries about his return.

“Part of me wishes that I could put a bullet in him for real so I’d never have to worry about him coming back…” Stephanie told Steve and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) before hastily dismissing the idea.

Could Stephanie’s wish turn into reality at some point? Owen is currently undergoing a psych evaluation to determine if he’s fit to stand trial, but Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) suspects his lawyers will go with an insanity defense if a trial does move forward.

Stephanie argued that delusional or not, Owen had a plan and got caught. Now Stephanie has vowed to “make damn sure” that Owen faces justice.

Everything about this is ominous, so Days may offer a situation where Stephanie doesn’t feel like justice has been served.

Could Stephanie take charge and shoot Owen if an insanity defense gets him a cushy mental institution stint instead of prison?

That’s one option to consider, but it’s also possible Stephanie could snap in a different way. Since DOOL keeps focusing on Stephanie’s improper storage of the weapon, she might impulsively shoot an intruder thinking he’s Owen.

It’d be easy enough to mistake another character for Owen in the shadows or even through a hallucination if Stephanie’s driven that far off the rails.

It could happen considering Stephanie is now dealing with Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) baby mess on top of everything she’s already endured.

Stephanie might get arrested depending on how this storyline plays out, so stay tuned for more news on her future.
