Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Chad DiMera Grieves In Solidarity

No one would be surprised at Chad’s grieving in solidarity with EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) over the loss of his mother; it hasn’t been that long since Chad lost his wife. Chad very well understands EJ’s grief over the death of Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) as well as his rage and confusion, and wanting to make someone pay. But there’s not a lot of payback he can get out of a dead woman, which everyone has convinced EJ Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) is.

Ava’s death, however, is still debatable since a bullet casing was left after EJ’s struggle with what his brothers say was a hallucination. But Chad and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) were in a hurry to get EJ back home; no doubt what happened was a tragedy, and Stephanie is being a friend to Chad.

DOOL Spoilers – Friend And Family

Even though Stephanie is no relation to Chad, she is his late wife Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) cousin. That makes her friend and family to Chad, and since Ava, also presumed dead was Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) mother, it’s no surprise Chad and Stephanie console each other. There is nothing unusual about extended family comforting and consoling each other in times of grief, but when Alex happens to see a tight hug he misinterprets it. He and Stephanie had already defined their relationship with each other, so he’s a little bit out of line with his jealousy. Alex should know not every hug and every touch is sexual or romantic, but it hits him wrong and he reacts.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Calm Down, It’s Not What You Think

Even though Chad is not quite being honest with himself about his feelings for Stephanie, they both tell Alex to calm down, it’s not what he thinks. It’s just friends who are family consoling and comforting each other, since each has a half-brother in grief and distress over losing their mothers. Wouldn’t Alex reacted the same if he’d been around when Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) died a few years back and been there for Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker)?
