Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that Kayla has had problems with Snyder for a while, not the least of which is the way he has treated Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams). Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that Tripp is not the only med student that Snyder has treated badly, punishing him for wanting to do the right thing. Kayla has had lots of complaints and lots of suspicions about Snyder during the time he has been at Salem University Hospital, but not any way to prove the allegations.

Steve and Kayla talk about Snyder and the problems and complaints over him at the hospital, and Steve offers to do a deep dive investigation into the man to see if he can find something Kayla can fire him over legitimately. Snyder is one of those who always manages to fly just under the radar with his questionable and sometimes illegal behavior, such as the illegal drug trade that is happening just under Kayla’s nose with Snyder pilfering pills from the hospital pharmacy! Somehow, people like Snyder know how to avoid problems with standard background employment checks, and it takes someone with resources like Steve has to find out what, or sometimes who, they really are! Snyder could have faked anything from his whole medical history and credentials to his name and hidden a criminal history!

DOOL Spoilers – Little Do Steve And Kayla Johnson Know That Clay Snyder Won’t Be A Problem Much Longer

Little do Steve and Kayla know that Snyder won’t be a problem much longer – even as they are discussing him and some of the patients he has treated, Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien) and Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) for instance, he’s being strangled! At the Horton House, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) defends Gwen from the dirty doc who has come to harass her at her home over the pills she didn’t deliver for him. Xander’s a little out of practice with his threat-only strangle holds and accidentally kills him.

That’s a whole another story, but in the meantime Steve and Kayla talk about some of the things that have happened under Snyder’s watch at Salem University Hospital. Of course, there are the issues of Snyder’s verbal abuse of the med students, but then there are much more serious things. For instance, Days of Our Lives viewers and Kayla recall it was under Snyder’s watch that Jan Spears managed to fake a coma, sneak out of the hospital and back in unobserved, steal Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) red coat, murder Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) and frame Belle for it!

The big, big question that both Steve and Kayla have is what exactly could have Snyder been so distracted with that he failed to notice all of this?! Another question that Days of Our Lives viewers and Steve and Kayla have is how did Jan break into Dr. Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office without anyone knowing? Snyder was supposed to be checking in on his patient!
