They thought they had succeeded, but it was at the expense of an innocent Salemite, Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Victor’s reason for allowing Will to take the fall for Adrienne’s death is because he wanted to keep Maggie from going to prison. But that wasn’t his only reason. He also felt that Maggie wouldn’t be able to handle it if she knew she killed Adrienne, along with her own grandchild. In his mind, he was doing the right thing. However, it’s never okay to let an innocent person go to prison, no matter who you are trying to protect.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Xander has tried to explain his point of view to Maggie. The two have gotten close over the past few years. So, to find out that he did something so outrageous is shocking to Maggie. She is also deeply hurt because she could never allow someone else to take responsibility for her actions. She also loves Will and can’t believe he’s lost a year of his life because of this.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, actress Suzanne Rogers was asked what Maggie thinks of what Victor and Xander did for her. She indicated that it’s really still very shocking to the woman. She said,

“Maggie can’t believe that Victor and Xander sent Will to prison. It would be one thing to not know who the perpetrator was, but they knew it was Maggie. God, they’re mean.”
