When a person has DID, their personality is fractured into two or more different pieces, which are called “alters” or alternate personality.

In Abigail’s case, her alter was based on Gabi Hernandez DiMera (most recently Camila Banus) and called “Gabby” and a second alter called “Dr. Laura”.

She even donned a black wig to look like Gabi, and what Gabi did Abigail didn’t know and what Abigail did Gabi didn’t know, and Dr. Laura supervised both!

The DID sufferer loses spaces of time and memories during periods where the alternate personality takes over and is dominant.

So, it’s a very good reason why Everett wouldn’t remember Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and Bobby wouldn’t know Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).

DOOL Spoilers – Everett-Bobby Lynch May Have No Explanation For The Gaps

Whether he’s Everett or Bobby, he may have no explanation for the gaps, and even if Everett did suffer severe injuries he may not be the same man as before.

The timeframe hasn’t been divulged as to when he was Bobby, but it seems like it may be years before he was Everett; he looked younger in Jada’s photo.

Jada herself is older than she was then, she’s now a detective and with Bobby she was a cop on the beat, so that usually requires a time progression.

She has mentioned they didn’t know each other as well as they’d thought, but Everett has never claimed a previous marriage, and it could be because Bobby is an alter.

There’s no hard and fast rule as to when an alternate personality may take over, so either Everett or Bobby could be the alter-with Abigail, her alters took over more often.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Everett Lynch Will Seek Counsel With Marlena Evans

Down-the-road spoilers indicate Everett will seek counsel with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) over a sensitive situation. Whether it’s a good-alter-bad-alter scenario remains to be seen, but there are a couple of possibilities.

Bobby, or even another alter that may manifest could be the arsonist who sets the blaze at the Horton House or the person who shoots Harris Michaels (Steve Burton).

Everett will get in the middle of the drug trade storyline as well, when he eavesdrops on Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel).

Plus, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) is set to leak the scandal about Stephanie spending the night with Harris, so Bobby or another alter could come out for revenge!
