While there is medication available, Kayla will admit that some patients still end up paralyzed. Of course, being the natural drama queen she is, Joy focuses on the slim chance of paralysis.

That will just make her lean on Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) even more! Not good news for his marriage.

Chad DiMera’s Support

Eventually, that leads to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) needing someone of her own to lean on. That’s where her former flame, Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd), comes in.

Chad knows Stephanie well and dated her for a time, too. Chad thinks she’s an amazing stepmom and feels this Joy situation must be hard for her.

At the same time, could Chad and Stephanie end up getting a bit too close? Only time will tell.

Forgiveness Rejected

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, August 20 reveal that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) will keep trying to apologize to Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews).

However, there is absolutely nothing Johnny can say to make things better, as Theo will refuse to forgive him.

Heated Confrontation

As for Gus, he will have an angry confrontation with Javi. It sounds like Javi will realize that he’s still in love with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

When he admits this to Gus, there will be a lot of hurt feelings and anger. After all, Gus upended his whole life and moved a long way just to take this chance with Javi. 

Double Surprise

As for Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), she gets a double surprise. First, she will be relieved and elated when Leo finally comes home.

Gwen will also be thankful that Leo got Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) to drop his revenge scheme against her.

This, along with Tate Black (Leo Howard) missing her and JJ Deveraux’s (Casey Moss) happy bombshell, means things are looking up for Gwen.

Love and support can really heal a person. So, I’m confident that JJ’s words will push Gwen to be a better person. I’m excited to see this new chapter for her, so stay tuned!
