Tripp also enjoys spending time with Allie’s son who just happens to be his nephew. Tripp hopes to get closer to Allie and to be there for her son as well. Tripp wants to be a father figure for his brother’s child because the baby needs someone to be there for him. After all, this child is a product of rape and his father has been killed. Tripp adores his nephew and has even been around to babysit him in some instances. It would be very hard to spend time with Allie and the baby without developing feels toward them both.
