NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Lucas Adams is reprising the role of Tripp Dalton. As fans recall, the character left to attend medical school. The actor explained that he always knew there was a good chance of coming back. He was told they were sending him to medical school for a reason, but don’t expect Tripp to be the same guy that left Salem a few years ago.

DOOL spoilers reveal that when Tripp left Salem in December 2019, the actor was given some pretty big hints he’d probably be back. When Tripp said goodbye just before last Christmas, it was so he could attend medical school. While working with Dr. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) at the hospital, it was clear that he was meant to be in medicine. He showed a real gift for it, but we don’t know if he has completed medical school yet or not.

DOOL Spoilers –  Lucas Adams’ Return

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Adams explained that he is excited to be back on set. He shows up at Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla’s house. When Steve walks in, he thinks there is someone who has broken into their home. However, it turns out to be his son. Although excited to see Tripp, it doesn’t appear that his return was expected. Tripp ends up having to explain to his dad what he is doing back in town.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that show bosses told Adams that Tripp was being sent to medical school for a reason. They also made it clear that he wasn’t being killed off, so a return was possible. Due to the time jump, it’s now been a couple of years in Salem time since Tripp left for medical school. So, we will have to wait and see if he’s actually a doctor now or if he left medical school for a reason.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: How Character Has Changed

However, don’t expect Tripp to be the same kid that left Salem. Adams told the publication, “His maturity level has really stepped up. When he comes back, he’s more established. He’s been in medical school for a couple of years and has been doing really well with it. He’s taking himself more seriously, as well as other things. I love playing him this way. Right now, he’s very close to how I am.”
