DOOL spoilers reveal that February sweeps are usually the time when we see explosive drama, shocking returns, and wild storylines. However, we are getting something very special that fans will appreciate. Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayal Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will get married again. Head writer Ron Carlivati confirmed the wedding to Soap Opera Digest.

“Knowing that their anniversary is on Valentine’s Day, it has always been the plan and in the works for a while that we would have them get remarried on their anniversary, so we have that to look forward to on Valentine’s Day.

DOOL Spoilers – ‘Stayla’ Rollercoaster

Steve and Kayla have been through a lot over the years, but especially since the one-year time jump. Kayla moved on with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) when Steve showed up in Salem. Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) implanted a brain chip in Steve so Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) could come back. The character would be called “Steve-ano” by some viewers.

After Steve was saved and back to himself, he had a hard time telling Kayla that he still loved her. He was stubborn and seemed to be punishing himself, Eventually, Justin walked away from Kayla, which was on their wedding day. He seemed to know that her heart always belonged to Steve.

However, Steve and Kayla had to go through one more conflict before getting remarried. Both took different sides when it came to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) accusing Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) of rape. Now that Tripp has been cleared and the rapist is Tripp’s secret half-brother, Charlie Dale (Mike Manning), “Stayla” can get back on track.

As for what else to expect during February sweeps, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) searches for Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal). Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) end up together, but they have to overcome an obstacle. That obstacle is confirmed to be Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow). Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) kiss. Meanwhile, Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano) wants to raise the “Elani” twins.
