Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ivan Marais Had The Grant Twins Kidnapped To Fill The Baby Shaped Hole In Madame’s Heart

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera) had Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) newborn twins, Jules and Carver Grant (unknown infant actors) kidnapped. He blackmailed Dr. Amanda Raynor (Victoria Platt) into kidnapping the twins, and apparently had kept an eye on the Grants and Lani’s pregnancy so he could have them kidnapped out of Salem University Hospital. When he presented the little ones to Vivian, she resisted at first – he told her he was making an effort to fill the baby shaped hole in her heart created by himself, when he took her twin sons and put them up for adoption.

He had never told her about them, and robbed her of the chance to raise Stefan and Jake DiMera (both played by Brandon Barash). Stefan, raised in privilege as Sam Maitlin by his adoptive family although starting out in an orphanage, sought Vivian out in his adult years. Jake, or Jacob, as Vivian calls him, never had a clue he was adopted or that he ever had a twin brother! Once Vivian gave the babies a chance, she fell in love with them and called them Jacob and Stefania, upon discovering Jules is a girl!

However, Lani and Eli were able to identify the man who blackmailed Raynor when she mentioned he called someone “madame” on the phone, and thanks to Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) found the townhouse in Chicago where Vivian had been before, with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). Ivan briefly locks them up, but Vivian calls him on it when she hears pounding on the walls! She briefly decides to kill Lani and Eli but they are able to overpower both her and Ivan and tie them in chairs while they reunite with their babies!

DOOL Spoilers – Ivan Marais And Vivian Alamain Are Brought To Salem And Taken Into Police Custody

Ivan already has a defense for Madame, and tells Eli and Lani that Vivian is in delicate condition, and has been out of her mind with grief over her dead Stefan all this time – and that is why she needed babies to keep her sane. They are separated and Vivian is chained to a desk at the Salem Police Department. Jake is notified that his mother is indeed alive, and is in custody as an accessory to the kidnapping of the Grant twins. Kate, who Vivian had buried alive shortly after Stefan was killed jumping between Vivian and a bullet from Lani’s gun, isn’t surprised that Vivian faked her death.

She wants to go along with Jake for moral support for him and also because she is suspicious of any story Vivian might come up with to defend herself. Vivian looks and acts the part of a desperate woman who has had a mental break with reality, talking about the babies as if they were Stefan and Jacob – that would be a telling clue itself, considering that she never knew either of them until they were grown men! But Kate knows just the thing to shake some truth into the situation – she knows darn well that Vivian is faking her mental break! She tells Vivian why she is there with “Jacob” – she is his girlfriend! Vivian tries to hold back her rage as Kate goes on about Jake and rubs his chest to his obvious enjoyment! Vivian goes ballistic and calls her a cradle robber and completely blows her “cover”!
