In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, actress Mary Beth Evans explained that Kayla doesn’t feel qualified or confident to perform the procedure.

“Kayla thinks she’s unqualified to take the chip out herself. She thinks the person who put it in should be the person to take it out.”
