Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Will Abigail Save Chad? ‘Chabby’ Has Battled Brainwashing With Love Before

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) finally returns. However, she will notice something isn’t quite right with her husband. This is not the first time that Stefano DiMera (Stephen Nichols) has brainwashed Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). The power of love broke through the spell before, can she do it again before he ends up doing something he can’t take back?

DOOL spoilers reveal Stefano needs someone to do his dirty work for him. Chad has done his fair share of questionable acts but has never been evil. In order for Stefano to get his son to do what he wants, mind control was necessary. This led to Chad once again being brainwashed by the DiMera patriarch.

In last week’s issue of Soap Opera Digest, actor Billy Flynn explained why Chad was so easily taken control of. He said that deep inside, he craves his father’s approval and wants to please Stefano. It’s because he grew up without a family and despite Stefano being a villain, they are blood. So, there is a bit of a battle going on inside of Chad.

DOOL Spoilers: Stefano DiMera’s Deadly Demands

As viewers know, Stefano has two jobs for Chad right now. The first was to kill Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). That was almost accomplished, but Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) walked in before Chad to smother her. Stefano will expect him to go back and finish the job.

The other item on Chad’s to-do list is to murder Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). She betrayed Stefano by exposing his plan. Even though she sat on the information for way too long, it did save Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). At least, until Stefano got his paws on her once again.

Days of Our Lives spoilers from the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest confirm Abigail finally returns from South Africa. She is an observant gal and fans better believe she will immediately notice something is “off” about her husband. She might not be able to figure it out right away, but eventually, Abigail will get to the truth.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Love Conquers Evil?

It is suggested that Abigail’s love could break through the brainwashing barrier and bring Chad back. This situation actually happened once before with the couple. Stefano tried to drive “Chabby” apart.

Adding to the complicated storyline, there was the paternity reveal that proved Abigail’s baby was Chad’s, not Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson). She was able to look deep into Chad’s eyes and bring him back. It is hinted that we might see a repeat of that storyline in the next few weeks.

However, Stefano hasn’t made it a secret that he may have Abigail killed if she doesn’t stop interfering. Could he make good on that threat when she saves Chad from being Stefano’s murderous robot?
