Days of Our Lives (DOOL) made the big move to the streaming service, Peacock, back in 2022. While some fans were upset that they now had to pay (another) yearly/monthly fee to watch their favorite soap, most ended up subscribing to the platform.

There have definitely been pros and cons to watching Days on Peacock. The first big “pro” is the fact that the soap wasn’t canceled, and given new life on the streaming service.

Another advantage is edgier content now that it no longer has to fit within the standards of cable. Plus, you can watch it earlier than you used to, as shows are posted bright and early every morning. However, a big “con” has been the added fee.

According to Deadline, Peacock is raising its fees, once again this summer. As per the report, the platform will cost $2 more each month for both of its tiers.

Premium will increase to $7.99 monthly ($79.99 annually) and Premium Plus, which offers live local shows and limited commercials will increase to $13.99 monthly ($139.99 annually).

The price hike will be here before fans know it, with it coming into effect for new Peacock customers on July 18 and existing customers will start getting billed after August 17.

DOOL Spoilers – How Will This Affect The Soap?

This fee increase will have no real impact on fans or DOOL, other than the fact that viewers will have to pay more if they want to see their favorite soap.

As with everything else in the world, prices are going up; however, the silver lining in this all is that Peacock seems very much behind the show, its first and only streaming daytime drama to date, recently renewing Days.

Still, while the streaming platform has faith in DOOL, the soap has stepped up, and so have its fans, being consistently in Peacock’s top ten titles streamed.
