Will Horton (Chandler Massey) didn’t expect to spend so much time away from Ariana Horton and Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) when he was called away for his latest writing assignment, but that’s what happened and when he comes home for Christmas, he is in for quite a surprise.

Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Sonny are now great friends when at one time he was their worst enemy. In fact, Will and Sonny once thought they had murdered Leo and wrapped his body up in a rug to get rid of it and never pay for the alleged crime.

As we know, Leo never died and returned to Salem to wreak more havoc on their sad lives.

“Considering their history with Leo, it seems like the last person Sonny would want to be hanging out with,” Chandler Massey said in the January 9, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest.

That is why Will is stunned when he makes this visit and sees this odd turn of events. He is also not very happy about it.

Will is so mad about the situation with Leo that he tells Sonny either Leo moves out of the Kiriakis mansion or he won’t stay. Sonny doesn’t like that ultimatum, so he decides to call Will’s bluff.

“It doesn’t go very well,” Massey told Digest after Sonny declares that Leo gets to stay. “He’s frustrated. He knows the reason Sonny is doing this is because he’s a sweetheart and he cares about people and wants to give Lep a second chance, but Will is just frustrated that Sonny is being that gullible.”

But is Sonny being gullible here or has Leo really changed? We have seen some human and vulnerable sides of him of late and maybe Sonny notices something about him that Will cannot because he keeps remembering the past.
