In fact, Telfer said Xander and Chanel are a lot alike.

This week on Days of Our Lives, we are going to see Xander go on a drinking spree. He has it in his mind that he has to drink for three days straight. As if that’s some Greek cure for a broken heart. While on a bender, he will end up meeting Chanel. However, she isn’t as she appears. At first glance, Xander thinks she’s a sweet, young girl. However, he couldn’t be more wrong and that might actually work in Xander’s favor.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Telfer explains what it’s like when Xander and Chanel meet. The actor explains that the two end up opening up about their pain. Xander also quickly realizes that Chanel isn’t a sweet, young girl like she appears to be. In fact, Xander realizes that Chanel is a lot like him. Now, they could just end up being unlikely BFFs. However, there is a chance that they could turn into something more.

“In many ways, he meets his match with Chanel. And then you factor in the fact that he’s very wounded and diminished in his capacities because of the alcohol and the emotional turmoil he’s going through, I think he underestimates her at first because she’s so young and pretty and sweet-seeming, but he very quickly realizes for formidable he is and how similar they are in a lot of ways.”

With Xander, Sarah was a good woman who helped him become a better man. Chanel is nothing but trouble, though. We are sure that she will grow on viewers, who will learn why Chanel is the way she is. However, with it being teased that Chanel and Xander are a lot alike, what does that mean for the characters? Could they actually become a couple? We will have to keep watching to find out what the writers have planned for this storyline.
