Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Alison Sweeney Is A Daytime And Primetime Star

The Los Angeles native earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her role as Sami Brady and at the current time she is embroiled in a front-burner plot involving her family, the Brady clan. Sweeney was 16-years old when she debuted as Sami.

From 2007 until 2015 she was the host of The Biggest Loser and she made her television debut at age five. In 1988 she appeared on the short-lived ABC sitcom Family Man and in 1989 she appeared on the miniseries Brand New Life.

In 2002 she appeared on the reality game show Fear Factor and her primetime credits include Friends and Las Vegas. In 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 she was a co-host for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.

In her 2004 memoir, All The Days of My Life (So Far) the actress revealed that she had struggled with her weight, making her the perfect fit for The Biggest Loser. In all Sweeney has written three books: “The Star Attraction, “Scared Scriptless: A Novel” and “Opportunity Knocks.”

Back in 2014, Sweeney announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was leaving her DOOL role after 21 years, saying that she wanted to spend more time with her family. Later that year it was announced that Sweeney would join the ABC soap General Hospital as a director and in 2015 she announced that she would be a part of the Days of Our Lives 50th-anniversary celebration.

Sweeney appeared in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film series Murder, She Baked from 2015 to 2017, and in 2019 she played podcast host Alex McPherson in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film series Chronicle Mysteries.
