Days of Our Lives Star Brandon Barash Talks Stepping Into The Role Of Stefan Dimera

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Brandon Barash is really enjoying the role Stefan Dimera. While Brandon feels that Stefan is an interesting character, he isn’t sure if that what makes the character so interesting.

“Reading it on the page, you can certainly infer that Stefan is evil or that he’s out to take what is rightfully his and screw everybody that gets in his way,” the actor suggested to Soaps In Depth. “But that guy is just not interesting to watch for me.”

Instead, what Brash finds interesting about Stefan is he is one way with one character and another way with another. He has so many different layers and he is a complex person.

“He can also be two very different people with the same person, as you’re kind of seeing with Gabi. As an actor, you have to go deeper, and that’s where I really start to enjoy myself and geek out,” Brandon shared.

And while Stefan is a complex character, he is still very relatable. Stefan wants to have a family, even though he’s never experienced that in his personal life.

“Stefan is an orphan, and one of his driving forces is wanting to have the family experience. Even if he sometimes doesn’t want to believe that or thinks that he’s tough and doesn’t need a relationship or a family to define who he is, Stefan absolutely does crave it,” Barash noted.

Brandon shared that coming up Stefan will have a love triangle between Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). And, the actor shares that both women would make a great partner for him. They have their individual strengths, even though they are completely different from each other.

The DOOL actor thinks that it’s time his alter ego has a child, as nothing changes a man like staring in the eyes of his own flesh and blood.
