Days of Our Lives Updates: Judi Evans Released From Hospital – Wally Kurth Shares Good News

Days of Our Lives Updates: Judi Evans Released From Hospital - Wally Kurth Shares Good NewsDays of Our Lives actress Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis/Bonnie Lockhart) recently went through a series of health emergencies. It all began with a horse fall and ended with her contracting COVID-19 while hospitalized. She is now home and recovering!

It All Started With A Horseback Fall

DOOL fans were worried when news spread that Judi fell from a horse and was transported to the emergency room. She broke several bones and had to be hospitalized. However, that would only be the beginning of her medical nightmare.

DOOL Star Diagnosed With Blood Clots

While in the hospital, Judi was diagnosed with a blood clot in her lung. It was revealed that her grandparents passed away from a similar condition. She would need surgery to correct the problem as this is very serious. But there was still more in store for the fan-favorite actress.

COVID-19, Surgery Mistake, and Near-Amputation

The Days of Our Lives star ended up contracting COVID-19, also known as coronavirus. Still hospitalized, she developed what is known as “COVID clots” in both of her legs. If that were not bad enough, she had to have surgery on one of the limbs. Somehow, the medical staff “forgot” to numb the area and they began cutting into her leg with her completely awake and without being properly numbed!

As we previously reported, she also nearly had her limbs amputated.

Days of Our Lives: Judi Evans Finally Home!

Judi’s co-star, Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) posted on Twitter an update. He was thrilled to announce that Judi was finally released after the hospital and is at home recovering. He wrote,

“Happy to say Judi IS home and recuperating. Thanks for all your positivity and love sent her way. ❤️”

Judi was in the hospital for several weeks and it is unfathomable that she endured so much in that period of time. However, she always thanked fans for their prayers and positive thoughts. It was stated last week that she was in pretty good spirits. We are certainly glad that Judi is out of the hospital, back home, and made it through everything okay!

Have you been following Judi’s health since her horseback fall several weeks ago? Are you surprised she has remained so upbeat and positive despite everything she was put through? Hopefully, the rest of 2020 goes much better for her, and we can’t wait to see her back on Days!
