Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 17 suggest some curveballs. We can expect there to be some craziness with a high-stakes poker game in Monte Carlo.

Meanwhile, Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) gets ready to head to labor and delivery. Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the Peacock soap opera.

Monte Carlo Craziness

Let’s start off with some craziness in Monte Carlo. Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) admitted his plan to Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez).

Fans might remember all the trouble that Philip got into because of poker a few years back. People almost died because of it! 

This time, it seems that Philip’s poker plan might actually save Titan as well as the Kiriakis estate. While it’s a huge gamble, it sounds like Gabi is going to give him the buy-in amount.

However, Gabi might insist on going to Monte Carlo with Philip to make sure he doesn’t gamble away the winnings.

Maybe that trip will have Gabi and Philip reconnecting on a romantic level.

Lexie Carver’s Decline

Over with Lexie, she will continue to be stubborn as she reaches the end of her life (again). It’s cruel for her to deny Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) the ability to know why she’s going away again.

I get that she doesn’t want them to suffer, but she’s actually just making it worse. Not knowing what happened to someone is sometimes worse than knowing the truth.

Difficult Delivery

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 13 suggest that Chanel will go into labor. However, will there be complications? While the chemo is deemed safe for pregnancy (although I don’t see how), it could cause other types of issues. 

Even though it’s true that women have been birthing for eons, complications happen all the time. So, hopefully, Chanel and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) are able to have a safe delivery.

First Kisses

Over with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), she will share a first kiss with Foster (Miles Anderson). However, I wonder if Julie could also feel guilty about Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).

Reunions & Reconciliations

Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will remain torn between Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

As for Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte), his plan is about to go up in smoke. That likely leads to Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez) realizing he still loves Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

The look on Gus’ (Michael Ocampo) face was clear when Javi left for Alamania. Gus didn’t technically lose Javi because he never had him to begin with. Javi’s heart has always been with Leo, and now he can finally admit that.
