DOOL Spoilers: Paulina Fires Rafe After Policy Change Leads To Disaster

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) may very soon regret her first decision made as acting Mayor of Salem. As viewers know, about a year ago the Salem Police Department made a new policy regarding romance within the department. Although up until that point, several officers were involved with each other. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) even married Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) when they were both cops.

When several officers left the force last, one of the people he hired as a replacement was Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu). Jada soon acclimated well to the position.

Although Jada was officially Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) partner, she still worked closely with Rafe as well.

Rafe was quite pleased with Jada’s performance, even though her relationship with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) proved to be a complete disaster!

DOOL Spoilers – Jada Hunter Aborted Eric Brady’s baby!

Jada and Eric were still in the early stages of their relationship when she became pregnant with his baby. Eric had already decided to end their relationship because he was still in love with Nicole Walker (Arianna Zucker).

Jada aborted the baby after Nicole convinced her that a baby was too much of a complication. Although Eric dumped Nicole, it was also too late for his relationship with Jada.

Jada threw herself into her work and began to spend more time getting to know Rafe. They both bonded over their recent breakups and admitted they were attracted to each other.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Jada Hunter And Rafe Hernandez Denied Their Feelings For Months!

Although they were falling in love, Jada and Rafe didn’t act on those feelings for many months because they didn’t want to break the rules and face some sort of retribution. But eventually Rafe admitted to Jada that he wanted to be with her, regardless of the policy.

The pair made love and made their relationship official. But Rafe was fired after the relationship was overheard by the interim mayor, who had taken over the position temporarily when Abe Carver (James Reynold) was injured and later presumed dead. When Abe returned, he named Paulina as his replacement.

DOOL Spoilers – Paulina Price Begged Rafe Hernandez To Return As Commissioner!

Paulina asked Rafe to come back as Commissioner, but he refused at first because he refused to stop seeing Jada. Paulina asked the City Council to amend the policy so that each case of romance within the department would be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Satisfied with the change, Rafe returned as Commissioner and continued his new romance as well. But Paulina may soon regret her actions. Rafe and Jada are happy for now but given Rafe’s romantic history, Rafe and Jada will likely separate as well and it most likely won’t be amicable.

If someone dies in the line of duty because Rafe was consumed with emotion, Paulina may realize the policy should have stayed the way it was, especially if she has to end up firing Rafe anyway.
