Days Of Our Lives has decided to celebrate the winter holidays early this year. And that means unveiling the trailer for DOOL’s first-ever Christmas special. The “Days Of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” video also hinted at what to expect when the holiday spin-off streams.

Days Of Our Lives Goes From ‘Beyond Salem’ To Holiday Surprise

The DOOL Christmas special follows the success of the show’s recent spin-off, “Beyond Salem,” notes TV Insider. Aired on the Peacock streaming service, “Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” offered DOOL fans a chance to reconnect with fan faves (hello, Lisa Rinna!) and take a trip around the world.

But the holiday spin-off from Days Of Our Lives promises to feature an even more impressive cast list. Billed as a new and original Christmas movie, “A Very Salem Christmas” will begin streaming on Peacock on December 16. DOOL star Chandler Massey portrays Will Horton’s focus on penning a screenplay. But can Horton finish his script before his deadline of Christmas Eve? 

“Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem -but with several twists and turns you’ll never see coming,” promises Days Of Our Lives’ description for “A Very Salem Christmas.” As always in Salem, no one ever moves alone. Watch for Sonny (Zach Tinker) to support his husband. Sonny’s seasonal reminder: “All the best Christmas movies always take place in quaint, little towns full of Mom-and-Pop shops and lots of holiday cheer!”

‘Days Of Our Lives – A Very Salem Christmas’ Trailer And Cast

The trailer for “Days Of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” offers some clues to what to expect. With Will’s screenplay providing new twists and turns, Sonny makes a key point. Holiday films tend to feature romance.
