Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Greg Vaughan Has Left Before, But Returned
Greg did leave the show in 2020 but returned later, accounting for all the character’s trips to Africa that broke up his marriage to Nicole. Greg was working in a television show called “Queen Sugar” that required him to film in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With the scandal that broke about former DOOL producer Albert Alarr and Arianne Zucker’s lawsuit and exit from the show after years, fans can’t help but wonder about Eric.
To make a long story short, there has been no official news about Greg leaving the show. It was publicized he was filming the memorial to Doug Williams after the unexpected death of portrayer Bill Hayes.
DOOL Spoilers – Nicole Walker’s Exit Would Have Already Been Filmed
Since the show films several months ahead, Nicole’s exit, however it happens, would have already been filmed. Nor has there been any word officially about a recast for Nicole, but with Arianne having been on the show for so many years, it may not be done suddenly.

Viewers will recall over the years there’s usually been a gap between one actor leaving a role and another taking over, except in a case of a short-term temporary recast.
This has happened recently when Greg was ill and it also happened with Jessica Serfaty, who has been playing Sloane Petersen-Brady.
However we have seen two Tate Blacks (Jamie Martin Mann, Leo Howard) in a short period-but he’s not been on the show but a few months.

We don’t know if Nicole will be killed off or if she’ll simply disappear, but a scenario from the past could be reworked-with Nicole disappearing. Then Eric and possibly Holly with him could go looking for her, like he did when Holly was little and eventually found both of them.
This time he’s got a baby boy and Holly a baby brother to consider, although Holly was barely a toddler herself the last time her mom was presumed dead, and her also.
The show could have written an open-ended exit with Greg having some time off, Holly going to college and Nicole, Eric and baby Jude going on a long trip.
Arianne’s exit was so sudden, and with the writer’s strike happening at the time as well, her exit may not have been written!
