New Year’s Resolutions Days Of Our Lives Characters Should Make In 2025

2025 marks six decades of Days of Our Lives! Previews for the upcoming 60th season tease a mix of fun, exciting, and a few unexpected storylines for fans to look forward to.

With new writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford at the helm, viewers are overjoyed with the promise of new life to be breathed back into Salem. That being the case, here are some New Year’s resolutions our favorite residents should consider making in 2025:

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Alex Kiriakis, Buy Some Shirts!

It’s unclear if Days’ wardrobe budget suffered major cutbacks in 2024 or if Robert Scott Wilson forgets where he is halfway through getting dressed and just wanders onto set that way, but the number of scenes in which Alex appeared fully clothed this past year could be tallied on one hand.

Brady, Xander, and even as of late Philip have tried competing with their kinsman for Most Topless Scenes but Alex has left them all in the dust. We get it. You’re buff.

Now for the sake of evening the playing field among all the other men of Salem whose bare chests would like to get some screen time in 2025, please Alex, resolve to put on a shirt in the new year!

Days Of Our Lives – Brady Black, Don’t Be Hero!

No one loves a damsel in distress more than Brady. If there is a woman needing to be saved from herself within 500 miles, Brady can sniff her out like a blood hound tracking down one of Steven Olson’s cocaine-filled canes.

Since his first love with Chloe Lane, for whom he first fell while she was battling leukemia, Brady’s love life has been a string of one toxic relationship after another.

Just this past year alone he’s found himself entangled with his scheming ex-wife Theresa, not-so-recovering alcoholic Fiona Cook, a perceived reconciliation with Kristen, and now a possible romance with former mob daughter, Ava Vitali.

Albert Einstein (And Dr. Phil) said “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” It’s time to retire the cape, Brady. Resolve in 2025 to stop playing the hero and find a woman with whom you can just relax!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Kristen DiMera, Cease The Self-Sabotage!

Speaking of women Brady can’t help but try and save, the only person Kristen needs to be saved from is herself! When it comes to business, family, or best of all revenge, she is a force to be reckoned with.

If you put Kristen in a steel cage fight with a rabid coyote, my money is on Kristen! But she just can’t help getting in her own way when it comes to her own happiness.

She knows exactly what she wants. She even knows exactly how to get it. But she always lets her impatience and her hot-headedness get the best of her.

If she could just focus on her long game instead of throwing the whole thing at the first setback, she, Brady and Rachel would be a family again by now. 2025 is your year, Kristen! Make a resolution to stop self-sabotaging and go claim it!

DOOL Spoilers  – Julie Williams, Mind Your Own Business!

If sticking your nose into people’s business were an Olympic sport, Julie would be a 500-time gold medalist. And that’s just for the 2024 Paris Games!

Never has one women been so consumed in the affairs of so many other people in one town. It’s hard to believe Salem ever needed Lady Whistleblower’s column to catch up on all the town’s gossip.

Julie has been providing the same service for decades! There’s not a resident in town she doesn’t know and have strong opinions about. Opinions she loudly shares despite never being asked. Julie, your friends and family have made excuses for you long enough.

They’ve allowed you to get away with it by calling it love but it’s really just a form of narcissism. How about doing all of Salem a favor in 2025 and resolve to mind your own business!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – All Salem Residents, Quit Talking To Yourself In public!

If you live in Salem, you have, or at some point will have, a big secret you are keeping from someone you love. It’s what you do.

But if you live there, you also know your town is roughly the size of a Whole Foods Market so chances are, you are going to run into said person when you’re out and about.

So as a precautionary, keep your private thoughts private! There’s nothing worse than nearly ratting yourself out by having explicit conversations with you!

Yes, we all talk to ourselves. It’s the only time we can be sure we have a captive audience. But for your secret’s sake, in 2025 do like the rest of us and have those one-on-one talks in private.

DOOL Spoilers – Writers – Stop Bringing Back Blasts From The Past For Short Term Visits!

Yes, we love getting to catch up with our favorite characters of yesteryears whenever we can. Funerals always bring one or two long distance relatives home for a quick spell. Doug’s passing reunited us with a nearly record-breaking number!

Jack, Jennifer, Ciara, Sean, Belle, Lucas, Lani, and Eli all returned to say their goodbyes. And having Days legends like Liz and Marie return to Salem after 40 years was a real treat for fans! But the joy was short lived as all but Shawn and Belle left again after the service.

Fans were teased with the budding of a fast but genuine friendship between Steven, who was last seen in Salem in 1979, and Leo (Greg Rikaart) only to have Steven shooed out of town before they could see it develop.

This might be forgivable were it not mere weeks after exciting fans with the return of the beloved Louise Sorel and Ivan G’Vera as Vivian Alamain and Ivan Marais only to have them written off less than a week later!

Similarly, fan-favorite Nancy Wesley (played by Patrika Darbo) stole every scene she was in when she returned to town with her daughter Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) but left again after just a few days, despite having endless potential story arcs just waiting to be played out in Salem.

This year Writers, resolve to stop teasing the fans with these short term cameos! Bring back more blasts from the pasts but bring them back to stay!
