The thallium aka rat poison found in his blood was only in his hygiene products. Which means that whoever placed it there was careful not to sicken anyone else in the house.

Rey’s first utterance upon learning that he was poisoned was that Adam did it. He said that in his hospital bed and he’s saying it know that he’s home. Rey is on a mission and it appears that he won’t stop until Adam is blamed for the crime.

Rey is a cop and he knows how to frame people. All he has to do is cover his tracks and make it appear that Adam is the perp. Even though Sharon loves them both even she won’t forgive Adam for trying to murder her husband!
