Why Jack And Jennifer Need To Stay On Days Of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Deveraux hightailing it out of Salem after Abigail DiMera’s memorial service, with JJ following as well. This means there won’t any real presence from this family in town and it makes no sense. The Deverauxs have been around for decades in some form and that should not change now.

Although Melissa Reeves chose not to return from Tennessee and play Jennifer this time around, Cady McClain had no problem pinch-hitting again, and considering that she already won a Daytime Emmy for playing Jennifer last year, she is very good at playing the part and fans seem to accept her as Jennifer. With longer and blonder hair this time around, McClain even truly looks the part.

She has chemistry with Matthew Ashford to spare, and with quite a few other characters in Salem, so there is no reason why Jack and Jennifer can’t stay around with McClain as Jennifer considering she is willing to commit to playing her, unlike Reeves who is enjoying life as a grandma to multiple children in Tennessee.

DOOL Spoilers – Why Jack Deveraux And Jennifer Horton Are Needed

Jack and Jen should also be part of the contingent trying to figure out what really happened to Abigail (Marci Miller). They are investigative reporters and have solved many mysteries together through the years, so why not solve this one that involves the murder of their firstborn together.

And then there is Gwen Rizcech (Emily O’ Brien). We are not sure what the show plans to do with her and if she can be redeemed or not, but she is Jack’s other daughter and it would make sense to keep exploring that relationship rather than making Gwen an island by herself with no friends and family.

With Jack wanting a relationship with this daughter he hardly knows, it could put a wedge in his marriage to Jennifer. That would be good old-fashioned daytime drama conflict, something every soap opera needs and DOOL has a golden opportunity to do this with Jack and Jennifer. Plus, they are also a fun couple and deserve to be on our screens regularly. Stay tuned to Days of Our Lives weekdays to see if this is what ends up happening.
