Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and a lot of fans are wondering, will their favorite soap opera air on Turkey Day? Well, we have the answers right here! Keep reading and scroll down to find your favorite soap to see if there is going to be a program interruption.
General Hospital
Will GH air on Thanksgiving 2025? At this time, we have no updates on the soaps plan for the holiday.
However, in the past, the ABC soap opera has aired repeats on Turkey Day. So, that will likely continue this year as well.
One thing I would like to see is for Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) to actually be happy with their families.
Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) final takedown would be nice, too. Fans would be eternally grateful if we didn’t have to see Drew again! No offense, Mr. Mathison, I’m sure you’re a nice guy in real life.
Days of Our Lives
Ever since the switch from broadcast to streaming, DOOL hasn’t had to worry about holiday preemptions. Each holiday, we get to see a brand-new episode anyway! The soap will likely use Thanksgiving to highlight some happy family stories.
Perhaps Abe Carver (James Reynolds_ and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andres) have a heart-to-heart. There could also be a few Thanksgiving miracles for Rachel Black (Alice Halsey).
Of course, let’s hope that Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) will be recovered enough to attend Thanksgiving with her baby.
However, after Rachel’s attack, Sarah might be in the hospital alongside Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall)! In any case, expect a new episode of Days of Our Lives.
The Young and the Restless
As for Y&R, fans can expect a preemption due to the holiday. Each year, the soap airs a repeat on Thanksgiving. So, that is going to happen again this year.
Of course, the episodes before and after Turkey Day might highlight some characters reuniting to give thanks.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Over with B&B, they will likely follow what Y&R does. The two are sister soaps and with The Bold and the Beautiful only being 30 minutes and with a much smaller cast, they tend to follow The Young and the Restless’ footsteps.
While there won’t be a new episode on the holiday, we will likely see all the core families celebrate on the days prior and after Thanksgiving.
This includes Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who dine with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown).
