On the same day as her farewell post, Amanda Setton is temporarily leaving General Hospital. The actress plays Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Here are five reasons why Hope would make a great recast for the GH character.

#1 Existing General Hospital Connection

Loyal fans of Hope may already know that she is dating and lives with her boyfriend, Chad Duell. He currently portrays Michael Corinthos on GH. Brook and Michael are both parts of the Quartermaine family, so there would never be a romantic connection. However, it would still make it easier for the two characters to share scenes without having to worry about social distancing.

#2 Fans Love Courtney Hope

Setton is a fan-favorite character and so is Hope. They have this in common and not only that, but they are both incredibly talented actresses. When either of them is rumored to leave their soaps, viewers tend to be passionately vocal about wanting them to stay on board.

#3 Soap Star is Available

Since Hope just announced she has left The Bold and the Beautiful, she is probably available for other gigs. Now, the actress is in demand and keeps pretty busy. But we would love it if she would join General Hospital! With Setton taking a temporary leave of absence due to being pregnant, it would be the perfect time for Hope to fill-in until Setton returns.

#4 B&B Fans Would Start Watching GH

A lot of fans are upset that Hope is being written on the CBS soap opera. Some have even threatened to stop watching. For those passionate fans, they could start watching General Hospital just to see the actress in a new type of role. Let me tell you, Hope has die-hard and loyal followers!

#5 Talented at Playing Both Good And Bad Characters

Setton is excellent at playing both good and naughty characters. She is a multi-dimensional actress that can really dive into any part. Hope is similar in that regard. We have seen her on B&B play the good girl Sally Spectra. However, she was also amazingly talented when she turned bad.

      I think that if Courtney Hope came to GH she should be playing a new or a character that is going to recast for good. I do not want her to play Brook Lynn because she would not stay around long because Amanda Setton would come back. I think that maybe she might make for an interesting Serena Baldwin.
