5 Reasons Why General Hospital Coby Ryan McLaughlin (Shiloh Archer) Needs To Come Back To GH

ABC General Hospital updates and spoilers reveal while there are many viewers who let out a huge sigh of relief when they found out that Shiloh Archer had died, that doesn’t mean his storyline is completely done and dead, too. In fact, there has been some speculation that Shiloh might be quietly and secretly alive. And if he is, that means actor Coby Ryan McLaughlin might come back to reprise his role. Here are five reasons why that should happen.

Shiloh Archer Is A Villain Like No Other

During his time in Port Charles, Shiloh Archer was a lot of different things to different people. He was a voice of reason, but a manipulative one. He was a leader and for his followers, hope for the future. Shiloh was also a dangerous villain who did a lot of damage, both physically and emotionally speaking. In fact, many General Hospital viewers have even admitted that Shiloh was a captivating villain that the popular daytime television series hasn’t seen in a very long time.

Sure, there are people like Peter August and Cyrus running amok and causing problems, but Shiloh was in a league of his own. Make that a much higher league, with his controversial cult and his talent of making people believe that he held all of the world’s most important answers in the palm of his hands.

General Hospital Updates – Nelle Benson Will Get The Shock Of Her Life

While no one knows if Shiloh Archer is indeed dead or alive, should he make his way to Port Charles again, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) will certainly get a huge shock to her system. Ever since it was revealed that Nelle had secretly married Shiloh, Nelle has been acting as though she’s in possession of the most important set of keys in all of Port Charles. And while Nelle does have the upper hand to a certain extent, her plan for dominance would hit a major speed bump with Shiloh not only back in the game, but back to reclaim what he thinks is rightfully his: Baby Wiley.

Shiloh Archer Will Make Jason Morgan Fight For Same Again

If Shiloh Archer is indeed lurking in the shadows somewhere in Port Charles, it’s without a doubt that he will pose a significant problem for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) again. Of course, Sam will be proven innocent for not killing him but at the same time, she will be forced to hide and fear for her life, knowing just how dangerous and deranged Shiloh is. His presence will also make Jason step things up and fight for Sam and hopefully, their love again.

GH Spoilers – Manipulation And Greed

Shiloh Archer is assumed to be dead, but is he? The last that General Hospital viewers saw him, he had the entire city of Port Charles on edge, escaped police custody, kidnapped Baby Wiley, took Sam McCall hostage, and then wound up dead. While his supposed ‘death’ came as a huge relief to many viewers, having Shiloh Archer on the show was certainly a wild ride from the start to finish.

There was even some speculation that Shiloh’s Dawn of Day mirrored a controversial Hollywood cult that was making headlines back in 2018. Either way, Shiloh was your typical, but not so typical ring leader who managed to manipulate and brainwash many young and impressionable women. He was also very greedy when it came to what he ultimately wanted in the end: power.

Coby’s Riveting Performance

While there have certainly been plenty of General Hospital viewers who have expressed their shock, sadness and complete outrage over some of the things that Shiloh Archer has said and done during his time in Port Charles, no one can deny that it’s all because of Coby Ryan McLaughlin and his riveting performance.

In fact, many longtime viewers have even confessed that they truly ‘hate’ Shiloh for all of the things he’s done to their favorite characters on the show. You have to hand it to Coby because as an actor he certainly did his job by bringing out the worst in his character while also making people as emotionally invested as they were in the villain.
