ABC General Hospital Mac Scorpio (John J. York) has been appointed Chief Of Detectives of the Port Charles Police Station. However, that is not the job Mac deserves. Here are five reasons why Mac should be the police commissioner.
#1 Mac Scorpio Knows Port Charles
General Hospital’s Mac has been the police commissioner before and knows Port Charles. Mac has a vested interest in the town because his family has lived there for years. Mac cares about the people of Port Charles and keeping the city safe. Mac goes out of his way to protect the residents of Port Charles and doesn’t play favorites.
#2 Jordan Ashford’s Record Speaks For Itself
General Hospital’s Jordan Ridgeway’s (Briana Nicole Henry) record speaks for itself. Jordan has had more false arrests than anyone who has ever been commissioner. Jordan’s team has gotten Carly sent to Ferncliff. Jordan has arrested Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) for Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Linstrom) crimes. Jordan cannot solve a crime on her own. Jordan and her staff all need to be fired and a new police force needs to take their place. Perhaps Port Charles would be a safer place then.
#3 Jordan Ashford Is Not Professional
General Hospital’s Jordan is the most unprofessional person on the show. Jordan lets out privileged information to people all around. Jordan doesn’t believe in having a private conversation with someone. Jordan is constantly handing out private police information to anyone within earshot of her voice. Jordan has a habit of discussing unsolved cases outside the office and with civilians who are not even involved. Jordan believes others should follow the rules but she has no obligation to do so. Jordan should not be entitled to any privileged information.
#4 Mac Scorpio Has Handled Many Mob Wars
General Hospital’s Mac has been though may more mob wars than Jordan. Mac has been through people like Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), Manny Ruiz (Robert LaSardo), and Jerry Jacks. Jordan is not capable of handling a full-fledged mob war. Mac is much more experienced and could end this so much faster. Jordan should have never been given this job considering she was a DEA agent. Jordan should have stayed working undercover doing something she was good at instead of a job she is constantly missing up.

#5 Mac Scorpio Cannot Be Bought
General Hospital’s Mac has ethics and cannot be bought. Jordan has let Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) force her into working for him to protect her family. Mac would have faced Cyrus head-on and taken him down. Mac has gone as far as to work with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) when necessary.
However, he didn’t like working with him and he was not breaking the law. Jason was helping take down a bad guy. Jordan is doing the exact opposite. These are just a few reasons why Mac should be a police commissioner instead of Jordan.

Mac should be the commissioner, just because he is the character to do it! He was in the past, he’s there, he should be used in the capacity that his character deserves! A veteran actor and character, very beloved by the fans!
Mac should be returned to the position of commissioner as he held the position previously, did a goo job at it, and if for nothing else, Jordan isn’t doing a good job. The Jordan character was trashed with the recast. No disrespect to the actress, but writers changed the character significantly when the part was recast.

Mac definitely needs to be the police commissioner. Jordan is not fit to wear a badge, not even one that comes in a halloween costume. Get rid of her and PC just might be able to take Cyrus down. Its kinda hard right now because, well with the police commissioner protecting him and feeding him information…..she’s trash, treat her as such.
I think that Mac should be the the commissioner. He has the knowledge. Jordan doesn’t care about the people of Port Charles. She got Cyrus out of prison. Wrong thing to do. She’s to careless.
It would please me for Mac to have the job. But no matter who has the job They never solve a crime. Just the way soaps are! I love GH and DOOL!
