General Hospital News – Stints On Other Soaps
Irizarry’s a soap vet and in an exclusive interview with Soaps In Depth, the actor said he’s up for the challenge.
The actor’s first foray on the soap world was on “Guiding Light” as Brandon/Lujack Luvonaczek Spaulding back in 1983. He was paired with Beth Raines and then Judi Evans Luciano. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1985. Since then, he’s been with six shows and recently wrapped up his stint as Jordan Armstrong on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
“It was great working on B&B,” the actor said.
“It was a fantastic cast. You really get a sense — especially doing this for almost 40 years — that daytime is one big repertory company. On every show I’ve been on, there are all these people I’ve worked within some capacity — whether behind the camera or in front of the camera. It’s great,” he continued.

The actor also appeared on “The Young and the Restless” from 2006 to 2008 and “Days of Our Lives” from 2016 to 2017. The actor admitted that of all the shows that are on air right now, “General Hospital” is the only sudser left that he has not appeared on.
“It would be fantastic to change that! I would love an opportunity to work with Finola Hughes (Anna) again and work with that cast,” the actor exclaimed.
Viewers know that some of his former “All My Children” co-stars are playing new roles in “General Hospital.” However, if given a chance, he wouldn’t mind bringing David to Port Charles.
“He has crossover appeal because of Anna. Our characters were married, we had a child together, and the child died. That was such a dramatic story, and Finola and I had a great working relationship. So I think it would make sense,” explained the actor.
He’s a great villain!
Absolutely! Vincent is a powerhouse actor and David has history with Anna so it would be an easy fit. Just don’t let him anywhere near libidozone!
Yes! Always love David
