Best New General Hospital Character Of 2023 – Vote Now!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that as 2023 winds to an end, it’s hard not to reflect on the year that has unfolded in Port Charles.

There have been plenty of new faces who have popped up on canvas over the past 12 months, and each one has had a major impact on storylines.

Having said that this is the “best of the best” list, so who was the character who made the biggest splash in 2023?

General Hospital Spoilers – It’s All About Mr. Brennan Right Now

GH spoilers hint that fans have been on the edge of their seats for months now, waiting to find out who was behind Pikeman.

While he arrived very late in 2023, Friday, December 1st to be exact, Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) has created a buzz within Port Charles, both on daytime screens and social media. He’s good-looking, charming, smart, and clearly manipulative, strategic, and cunning, as well.

Fans don’t even know his first name and they are invested in his story, hook, line, and sinker. He’s a villain by trade, as both the head of Pikeman and the WSB, gunning for “heroes” Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)

However, nothing is ever “black and white” when it comes to daytime drama, so fans need to learn more about Brennan before they make that call definitively.

Still, you can’t have a GH “best new character” list for 2023, without mentioning Adam Wright (Joshua Benard). Perhaps he deserves the best new “breakout” character for this year as he technically debuted in 2022.

Still, Adam has dived right into storylines and has become a pivotal character in the soap, wrapped in mystery and drama.

GH Spoilers – Adorable Honorable Mention

As incredible as Mr. Brennan is, he’s got some serious competition in Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). In fact, one could argue that the little Cassadine has created far more of a wave than Brennan has this year, or ever will.

Ace has been at the center of storylines since even before he officially debuted in the land of Port Charles. From his bond with brother Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to being one of the reasons his mom Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is on a road to redemption.

He’s been a key player in the Spence/Esme/Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) love triangle and was also part of the hostage crisis in Greenland when his grandfather Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) decided to end the world – a major GH storyline this year.
