General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Peter August Sold “The Invader” To “An Investor”
General Hospital viewers will recall from a few episodes back how Peter August (Wes Ramsey) told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) he had sold his newspaper, “The Invader” to “an investor” and had made a quick turnaround and profit on the deal. General Hospital recaps reveal that a few years back when Peter first came to town, he was working for Drew Cain when Drew and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had Aurora Media – Peter was their editor.
Later, after Drew disappeared thanks to Peter, Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) bought out Aurora and part of Crimson Magazine as well, and Peter had bought “The Invader” around the time that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) had started his crime spree. Now, it’s highly doubtful that Peter would have sold his paper to the investor if he knew it was Drew, who has been presumed dead for the past few years. But it certainly would have been sweet revenge for Drew to come to seal that deal in person – if only he had arrived sooner!
General Hospital rumors show that Peter literally would have seen a ghost! But, it sounds like Peter himself may be a ghost at this point. If Drew is back, possibly with Cameron Mathison playing him, it’s too late to save Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and too late to bring Peter to justice alive. But ,it wouldn’t be too late to step in with Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) kids and his own daughter with Sam McCall, (Kelly Monaco) Emily “Scout” Cain (Ella Ramacieri).
GH Spoilers And Rumors – What A Sweet Irony If One Of Peter August’s Charges Goes Away After It’s Too Late To Do Him Any Good
Cameron will be starting to film his new General Hospital role once he is done filming another installment of “Murder She Baked”, a series of Hallmark Movies starring himself, and Days Of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney. So regardless of who he plays, a returned Drew or not, General Hospital viewers probably won’t see him until perhaps August.
What a sweet irony it would be if he does play a recast Drew Cain on General Hospital – one of Peter August’s charges would go away after it’s too late to do him any good, as it seems that alas poor Heinrik, some knew him too well. Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) may not have meant to throw Peter down the stairwell to his apparent death, but Drew, if alive would have much satisfaction returning to Port Charles knowing that his “brother” Andy’s killer met a rather appropriate fate.
Drew Cain was a pretty big guy and at one time, was Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) identical twin. Cameron Mathison’s face could be Steve Burton’s with some plastic surgery; the basic shape of their heads and placement of their noses and mouths are pretty close. Cameron may actually be a more believable Drew according to his looks than Billy Miller was!
