General Hospital spoilers for the week of December 1-5 note that while the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday may be but a memory for everyone in the “real world”, the families of Port Charles will gather in the days ahead to celebrate what they are grateful for.
This includes the Quartermaines, who, year in and year out, attempt to create the perfect turkey meal (with all the fixings), only to end up ordering a pizza! But when did the pizza Thanksgiving “tradition” start with the Quartermaines on GH?
A Walk Down Memory Lane
A fan on X recently took a walk down memory lane, posting photos and a video from GH Thanksgiving scenes, circa 1994! The caption read:
“#OnThisDay in 1994, after Annabelle ate their meal, the Quartermaines sat down to a Thanksgiving meal of pizza (and so a tradition begins!) #ClassicGH #GH #GeneralHospital”

The tradition should've stopped in 2007 if we're going to be honest. https://t.co/lBu67e3Rur pic.twitter.com/7wXLzp5wMS

Present at that meal were Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee), Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle), Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon), Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), as well as Jason Quartermaine – now known as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
Fans may recall that Reginald Jennings (Stephen Kay) was the Q family’s butler at the time, and he was also present to help serve the dinner.
Reginald announced dinner was on the table. Of course, as Lila was trying to calm Edward down, for his own health, he started a fight with Monica and Alan in the family room.
The entire family bickered, while Annabelle snuck into the dining room and made quick work of eating the whole meal before the Qs could get to it! They were mighty shocked when they went to eat their Thanksgiving dinner, only to realize that it had been eaten by their furry friend!
Will Lightning Strike Twice?
There’s no doubt about it, the Quartermaines are eating pizza in 2025 for Thanksgiving, but with preview pics showing Outback at the Q family holiday dinner table, will she get a little inspiration from Annabelle? Will the dog feast on the Thanksgiving feast before the Quartermaines can?
