Musician and actor, MJ Allen, broke the news, revealing Robinson peacefully passed away in his sleep on Monday, June 9, at his ranch close to Sedona, Arizona. The cause of Robinson’s passing was heart failure.

Chris Robinson’s GH Legacy

The actor’s career began with roles in TV shows like Ben Casey, The Fugitive, The Donna Reed Show, and Gunsmoke. He also played Sgt. Alexander “Sandy” Komansky in the last seasons of 12 O’clock High, which aired on ABC. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

With that said, his GH role as Dr. Rick Webber put him on the map. He entered the land of Port Charles as a recast, taking over from actor Michael Gregory, in 1978, and would exit the show in 1986.

In 2002, Robinson returned to the daytime drama when Rick was murdered within a major GH storyline, and then reappeared on the soap during the show’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2013, as Rick’s ghost.

While Robinson had an incredible acting career, he did face his fair share of challenges in his personal life. In 1985, he was sentenced for failing to file his tax returns.

With that said, it didn’t affect his work in the industry. The last role he had was in 2022, where he played Ted Hurst in the movie Just for a Week.

Robinson is survived by his wife, Jacquie Shane Robinson, their children, and grandchildren. On behalf of everyone here, we send our deepest condolences to Chris Robinson’s family, friends, loved ones, colleagues, and fans.
