Daytime Soap news indicate that a recent update reveals that three of the four current soap operas have been renewed for another year. One new soap opera is about to premiere. However, another soap opera is waiting in the wings for an answer. Who is safe and whose head could be on the chopping block?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Has Been Renewed

Days of Our Lives has been renewed for season 61. This was announced on November 1, 2024. Fans know that Days of Our Lives moved to Peacock in September 2022.

On September 12, 2022, Days of Our Lives made soap history by moving from NBC which had been its home since the show first appeared to the streaming only platform Peacock.

Fans were very concerned about the fate of Days of Our Lives once this change happened. However, it seems that Days of Our Lives fans followed to show to Peacock and continue to watch.

According to Peacock, Days of Our Lives has been a top ten program since it migrated to the streaming platform and continues to do well.

The Young And The Restless – Renewed Through 2028

The Young And The Restless was renewed in February 2024. On February 27, it was announced that Y&R had been renewed through 2028.

This adds four more seasons to the long running soap and makes fans very happy. Fans can rest assured that Y&R isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

It seems that The Young And The Restless has been renewed for the most years so far. CBS is certainly putting their support behind the long-running soap, which is very good.

Fans can rest assured that Y&R will be around for years to come. Of course, this is not a surprise when Y&R has been in the top spot in ratings for years.

The Bold And The Beautiful – Renewed Through 2025

Fans were not happy to learn that Y&R was renewed for four years when B&B was only renewed through 2025. However, the show’s supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk explained why. Casey explained on the Bold Live podcast.

“It was announced Bold & Beautiful has a one-year extension. So, I saw a lot of comments saying, ‘Hmm. Y&R got four years, B&B only got one.’ Well, the truth is, we are two different shows with two different contracts, two different deals.” Kasprzyk continued, “It’s not my place to really comment on it other than to say that we’re on a three-year deal and so the third year was picked up. The way it works, next year will be when we negotiate for a brand new contract. So we are currently on a deal that gives us one more year. So we’re on through 2025. Thank you, CBS. We love being on CBS and we couldn’t be happier.”

General Hospital – No Decision Has Been Released

Although network executives haven’t released any information, ABC exec make it seems that GH Will be renewed.

General Hospital is owned by ABC and Disney so they make their own choices about the renewals instead of going through the same channels the other networks require.

Months ago, the fans were praised for their loyalty to the long-running show. However, some of the decisions made are pushing viewers away. The show may be fine this week but who knows what will happen in the end?
