General Hospital Casting News: Dean Geyer Joins Cast In Hot New Role

General Hospital spoilers suggest a new character is about to pop up in the land of Port Charles! As per TV Insider, actor Dean Geyer is joining the cast of the ABC soap, and we have all the details about his new GH role below.

Welcome To Port Charles, Tristan Roberts!

Geyer is playing Tristan Roberts, although his debut date and who he’ll be sharing scenes with are unknown at this time.

In fact, as of this writing, not much is known about the new character, so fans will need to check out this site regularly, as information is released.

With that said, Geyer was seen in the Instagram video uploaded on General Hospital’s handle where the cast and crew celebrated their 16,000th show. As such, Geyer is currently filming on set, so Tristan should pop up at some point between now and July.

Geyer was born in South Africa, and is an actor, as well as a singer/songwriter. He participated in Australian Idol’s (Australia’s ‘American Idol’) fourth season and came in third overall. Geyer released a full album called ‘Rush’ and five singles in 2007.

In addition, he’s best known for his work on Glee (playing Brody Weston), as well as the sci-fi show Terra Nova (playing Mark Reynolds). He also worked on the Aussie soap, Neighbours from 2008 to 2009.

A Robert Scorpio Link?

While there is no information on Geyer’s new character, it’s hard not to think he might be connected to Robert Scorpio, played by the late Tristan Rogers, who also happened to be Australian. Rogers passed away in August 2025, and there is a tribute show coming on the horizon.

Still, perhaps introducing ‘Tristan Roberts’ into storylines is a way for General Hospital to pay homage to the iconic character of Robert Scorpio and the talent that the legendary Tristan Rogers brought to the ABC soap.
