General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal everything you need to know about GH’s returning character Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). Ric hasn’t been seen on the show since July 20, 2016 and will be returning soon.
General Hospital Spoilers – Who Is Ric Lansing?
The name “Lansing” will be familiar to even new viewers of the show since he’s the birth father of Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
He was Port Charles’ District Attorney from 2006-2008, and Assistant District Attorney, a position now held by daughter Molly from 2003-2004.
He is also Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) half-brother from Sonny’s mother, Adela Corinthos’ (Iris Almario) affair with Trevor Lansing (Stephen Macht).
Even though Sonny and Ric were raised apart and their lives took different paths, Ric would not be considered a straight arrow good guy.
Ric has done some horrible things, such as during one of his last storylines he seduced Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and married her, while having an affair with her mother.
GH Spoilers – Ric Lansing Once Was Married To Elizabeth Baldwin
Ric was once married to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and kept a very pregnant Carly Spencer (then Tamara Braun) locked in a panic room in his house as a prisoner. Elizabeth had miscarried her baby with Ric, who then blamed Sonny for the tragedy.
In a twisted turn of events, Ric kidnapped Sonny’s then wife, Carly, and held her captive with intentions of taking their unborn child, who would be Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig).
Carly managed to escape, after Elizabeth discovered her and freed her, leading Sonny to take matters into his own hands by confronting Ric.
As a result, Elizabeth decided to end her marriage with Ric and seeks comfort in the arms of Zander Smith (Chad Brannon) then conceiving Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
General Hospital Spoilers – Ric Lansing Has Been One Piece Of Work In His History
It’s questionable if Ric will return any kind of redeemed, since he’s been one bad piece of work in his history-although he will likely figure in strongly in the surrogacy storyline.
Alexis was married to Ric although after many affairs on his part and other involvement with mob figures and other crimes she divorced him in 2006.
All kinds of drama and clashes between Sonny and Ric and Molly and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) can be expected with Alexis forced to be in the middle.
In the middle between her two youngest daughters in a custody dispute over Molly and TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) baby isn’t where Alexis wants to be.
The baby is Kristina’s egg and TJ’s sperm, and Kristina is carrying-Ric likely comes summoned by Molly to represent her and TJ in custody court.
