#1 Anna Devane Goes By The Book

General Hospital’s Anna has always gone by the book. Anna has always believed that criminals should pay for their crimes regardless. Anna proved this by imprisoning Ceasar Faison (Anders Hove) at one point. If Anna knew someone had committed the crimes Peter August (Wes Ramsey) has, she would turn them in. Anna would never stand by and continue to believe Peter’s lies. Anna would have turned Peter into authorities whether he’s her son or not.

#2 Anna Devane Was Never A Crier

Anna has been a part of General Hospital for decades. However, Anna was never a crier. Ever since Duke Lavery’s (Ian Buchanan) death, that is all she does. Personalities do not change overnight and Anna’s did a complete u-turn. Alex Marick (Finola Hughes) used crying for emotional response and manipulation. Anna would never do that.

#3 Unwillingness To Investigate

General Hospital’s Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) has tried repeatedly to get Anna to investigate Peter’s parentage. Robert is convinced that Peter’s birth is Alex’s implanted memory into Anna’s brain. Anna refuses to consider this because she doesn’t want Peter abandoned again. Anna knows in her mind that Alex is probably Peter’s mother but refuses to prove it. Why does she not want the truth to come out?

#4 Anna Devane Is Protective Of Robin Scorpio

General Hospital’s Anna would never let anyone around Robin that she thought was a criminal. Anna is too protective of her daughter and her grandchildren. Peter’s history of violence is the exact reason that Anna would never allow him around her family. Anna knows that Peter would hurt anyone to protect himself whether she wants to admit that or not.

Peter would use Robin or her children as a human shield or worse. Peter kept Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) from his family for years. Peter has no loyalty to family, he even tried to kill Anna herself. Anna is not nieve enough to allow Peter to be a part of her family without knowing the absolute truth.

#5 Anna Devane Would Not Be With Hamilton Finn

General Hospital’s Anna had two great loves. Robert who was a WSB superspy. Robert and Anna worked well together. Robert is fearless and always gets his man. Robert added an element of danger and suspense to Anna’s life. Duke was a member of the mob.

Duke worked for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Duke was dashing and debonaire. Duke loved Anna for distraction. Duke wanted nothing more than to have a life with Anna and to make her happy. Anna would never be happy with someone like Finn, he is simply not her type.

Anna acts nothing like herself. Anna acts more like Alex every day. Alex could certainly have replaced Anna after their eye surgery months ago.
