General Hospital spoilers suggest that the weather might be cooling down in Port Charles, but the drama is sure to heat up come the fall!
The ABC soap’s Co-Head Writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte, recently talked to TV Insider about what fans should expect to unravel in the weeks and months ahead, and we have the scoop.
The Last Chapter
General Hospital spoilers for the fall reveal this next chapter in Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) love story could be their last.
Korte and Van Etten suggest that the things Britt did while under Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) thumb could come back to haunt her and might prove too hard for this couple to survive.
Trouble Ahead For Varly
Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will experience some murky waters. Valentin will take a blow when a ‘mysterious person’ snatches up Wyndemere.
In addition, the couple’s children will bring them trouble as Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be more eager than ever to bring Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down.
Then there will also be the issue of Charlotte Cassadine’s (Bluesy Burke) ‘night swimming adventure’.
With that said, the co-head writers tease that the biggest obstacle Varly will face in the fall is Valentin’s pull towards his ex, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Sonny Corinthos’ New Battle
Speaking of Sonny, General Hospital spoilers for the fall reveal that his exit from the mob might not be happening, as his rivals look to ‘use his past against him’.
Van Etten and Korte didn’t name Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) as the enemy that will do this, but they did note that the conflict between the two will heat up this fall, and there could be ‘fatal consequences’.
In addition, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will be involved in this entire mess, as General Hospital’s co-writers warn that Ava and Drew’s ‘unholy alliance will have repercussions across the canvas for years to come.”
Josslyn’s New Mission
Van Etten and Korte suggest that Joss’ new WSB assignment as the CEO of JJE will align with the blonde’s need to bring Sonny down.
General Hospital spoilers imply that the results will be “bloody” when she makes a move that targets Sonny’s family, but she’ll also be the target of someone unknown. It seems that JJE is a ‘big prize,’ and Joss isn’t the only one entitled to it.
Nina Reeves In Hot Water
As fans know, Drew planted Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) wallet in Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) car after he buried the man. It sounds like this revenge tactic will pay off, initially.
While only a handful of people know that Brennan is dead, rather than missing, the WSB’s William Baines (Alimi Ballard) will come across “physical evidence” that implies Nina was involved.
It looks like there is trouble in Nina’s future, but it won’t be as dark as those who were behind her downfall.
Van Etten and Korte bring up Dr. Tristan Rogers (Dean Geyer), who will become a key player in this storyline. Tristan isn’t only a doctor but a former WSB agent and will ‘prove pivotal’ to the mystery behind Brennan’s demise.
New Romances & Reunions
General Hospital spoilers for the fall promise some new romances, as well as reunions. Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will ‘warm up’ to each other; however, past trauma and heartache will take a toll on Lucas.
As for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), a past romance will surprisingly rear its head. Who could this be?
Plus, fans should expect Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Finn Carr (Rocco Falconeri) to become the ‘Romeo and Juliet’ of Port Charles.
Meanwhile, Ric’s jealousy over Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) friendship could ruin all the progress he’s made to prove he’s changed.
While the GH co-writers don’t confirm that Dante and Liz cross a line, they do hint that ‘if they do’, there aren’t any lengths to which Ric won’t go to keep what’s his.
Trina Robinson’s Stalker
While Van Etten and Korte remained hush-hush about the identity of Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) stalker, they did say that this person could become ‘detrimental’ to Kai Taylor’s (Jens Austin Astrup) health.
Yikes! Still, he isn’t the only one at harm’s length. It sounds like Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) is going to take an aggressive approach to finding out who Trina’s stalker is, and this could place a target on her back, too.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s World
Not only will Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) face backlash in the aftermath of keeping her role in Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) accident a secret, but she also stands to lose Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
With that said, Chase and BLQ also stand to lose Phoebe Chase (Lucia and Luna Creighton) when the child’s real father comes forward. Her months-long secret will leave the family vulnerable to this.
Jordan Ashford’s World
General Hospital spoilers for fall note that a face from Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) past will cause issues for her future.
It sounds like fans will learn about Jordan’s life before joining the DEA, and what led her to the little town. In an interesting twist, Jordan and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) will develop a bond.
Meanwhile, something major will go down in Pentonville that involves Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
This will ultimately change the dynamics between enemies and friends and could ‘upend a romance or two’.
In addition, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) will also be involved due to an ‘outrageous’ move by Curtis’s new attorney.
It sounds like the fall will be sizzling … so what storyline are you most interested in seeing unfold? Share your comments below!
