Billy Miller’s Final Letter To Fans
Monaco hopped on Instagram on Miller’s birthday, September 17, and posted a letter he sent to her in 2019, shortly after he left General Hospital.
In the IG caption, Monaco wrote, “It’s Billy Miller’s Heavenly birthday. He sent me this a few years ago, after he left @generalhospitalabc, wanting me to post it… I didn’t.”
The caption added, “But… I know he wanted anyone who’s ever supported his work and or got to know him as a friend to read this letter. He is a gift that keeps giving.”
Miller’s Final Letter To Fans
Miller’s letter read, “With a slight air of sadness, it is time to ponder what ‘Goodbye’ means. However, instead of dwelling on what is gone and sure to be missed, there is another way.”

It went on to say, “Maybe our goodbye is really a remembrance of love felt, an appreciation for lives shared, and the lifelong reminisces that come from embraces given and received.”
Miller continued with, “Maybe our goodbye is an earnest hope for the brightest path forward for us all. Maybe our goodbye is honoring growth and lessons learned.”
The letter also noted, “Now, instead of sadness, I am filled with gratitude for all your support, encouragement, and every emotion shared. I cherish the journey we have taken together.”
It also stated, “Thank you for following me into your homes and lives. With every ounce of myself, I thank you for being you.”
It concluded with, “I would be remiss in this crazy, unpredictable world we all love so much if I did not hold out the possibility that maybe our GOODBYE is really… UNTIL NEXT TIME.”

Billy Miller’s Legacy
In addition to Drew Cain, a character he played from 2014 to 20149, he also worked on All My Children as Richie Novak and Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless. During his time in daytime drama, he won a total of three Daytime Emmy Awards.
Miller passed away on September 15, 2023, and many fans have been touched by Monaco sharing this letter on social media.
