General Hospital Spoilers – Fans Were Sad When Sydney Mikayla Exited
Fans were extremely sad when it was revealed that Mikayla opted to leave the show to focus on her studies at UCLA. The role of Trina was then recast with Tabyana Ali who is doing an exceptional job. She told the website, “Frank [Valentini, GH’s executive producer] had made such a space for me to be able to go to school and work.
He was working with me so much and working with my schedule, which I really appreciated. But ultimately, I just knew that I needed to commit to school and give all my attention to school as much as possible. So it was a difficult decision to make, but ultimately, I knew what I needed to do in order to complete my goal.”

That way, when the opportunities present themselves for me to be able to take higher roles in the film and TV industry, like a producer or a director role, I really have the education to back that up. That’s really important to me. But acting will always be a part of me and I look forward to exploring the medium, even if it’s not necessarily through TV, but more learning and reading and doing performances that are student-led, things like that.”
We can’t wait to see her acting again, what about you? Do you agree?
