General Hospital Alums We’ve Lost This Year – Gone, But Never Forgotten by GH Fans

General Hospital Spoilers: Will This Christmas Be a Weepy One with All the GH Alums We've Lost This Year?General Hospital spoilers tease Port Charles has lost several members of its community this year, and it continues to weigh on the hearts of viewers everywhere.

We’ve lost four key and historical cast members in 2025, and their deaths are going to leave a mark. They’ve left us with memories that can’t be replaced, and trauma that we only hope can be healed.

From Leslie Charleson’s untimely yet expected decline, to Anthony Geary’s recent unexpected death, I can’t be the only one reeling from all the loss. As we hold those nearer and dearer to us this holiday season, we should all remember the ones we wouldn’t be the same without.

Leslie and Lesley Brought So Much Joy

Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) left us with few unresolved feelings, but we still weren’t ready for her light and her leadership to exit stage left. Charleson joined the cast of GH in 1976, and she changed our lives forever in the decades to come.

She never could have imagined back then that she would remain with the hit sudser for nearly fifty years. She was a force to be reckoned with, and everyone — including Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) — came to know that.

Her legacy will live on at the hospital, but I fear no hospital leadership will come close to mirroring her image anytime soon.

On the flipside, Lesley Webber, played by Denise Alexander, also made her grand exit this year. Denise first appeared on GH in 1973, and she lasted on and off about as long as the other Leslie did.

While Lesley might not be remembered by everyone as a true matriarch the way Monica was, she was the mother that raised up the next-best thing, Laura Collins (Genie Francis). We couldn’t be more grateful.

GH Spoilers Suggest Robert Gave Us One Last Goodbye

Seeing Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) live out his final weeks on-screen with Sasha Gilomre Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) was more than we could have hoped for.

A staple in Port Charles since 1980, Robert taught us what it really meant to be an agent in federal law enforcement, and a spy, and the Port Charles District Attorney, and the PCPD Police Commissioner, among many other roles he took on.

A jack of all trades, no one is going to replace Robert in our hearts, and we long for the next time Sasha returns — with baby Daisy Corinthos Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford) — to possibly bring his death home on-screen.

Luke Will Be Forever Missed

Most recently, any chance of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) coming back to Port Chuck to close it out on his own terms went up in smoke.

Tony Geary died on December 14, 2025, leaving in his wake a fleet of fans who can’t believe there will never again be an on-screen Luke and Laura moment.

Last appearing on GH in 2017, the odds were slim that he would come back for any semblance of a story that his diehard fans wanted to see, but we’ll long for the end cap to his romance with Laura forever now, as well as his late-light love story with Tracy.

Now, we wonder what waits for us this Christmas and New Year’s as GH rings in 2026 and bids farewell to those we lost this year. Will it be wonderful, or will it be weepy? Both? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how it all plays out.
