General Hospital & Beyond The Gates Star Jon Lindstrom Hints At Film Opportunity

General Hospital & Beyond The Gates Star Jon Lindstrom Hints At Film OpportunitySoap fans know Jon Lindstrom best from his work on General Hospital (Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlain) as well as his new role on CBS’s Beyond the Gates (Joey Armstrong).

With that said, he’s also a published author with one book out and another one releasing very soon. The actor recently also hinted at a movie opportunity. Read more below.

Jon Lindstrom’s Books

Lindstrom’s first novel, Hollywood Hustle, debuted in 2024, and Hollywood Payback is being released on Tuesday, April 14.

Speaking with “We Love Soaps’s” Roger Newcomb, Lindstrom talked about the process of writing his novels, stating he loves to write in the early mornings, waking up at around 5-5:30 a.m. as it’s ‘peaceful’.

The soap veteran also hinted that his books could be turned into movies, too. Lindstrom revealed during the “We Love Soaps” segment that “My first book has been optioned and is being adapted now.”

He added, “Hollywood Payback could make a great film, but I leave that to others. To attract a star today, you need a screenwriter with a different track record than mine.”

More On Hollywood Payback

Lindstrom’s newest novel, Hollywood Payback, centers on Jake Ferguson, a once-up-and-coming actor, who sees a murder take place and quickly realizes he’s being framed for it.

Ferguson is on a mission of revenge, and Lindstrom believes that daytime drama fans may enjoy reading about Jake.

Lindstrom notes, “Soap fans love anti‑heroes. Jake is flawed, but he has a strong moral center.” The actor adds, “He’s learned his lessons and is trying to make things right. That resonates with daytime audiences.”

In addition to Beyond the Gates and General Hospital, Lindstrom has also been on As the World Turns, Santa Barbara, Generations, and Port Charles.

During his soap opera career, he’s been nominated four times for a Daytime Emmy, three of which were for his role in General Hospital, and one for a part he played on As the World Turns (Craig Montgomery).
