General Hospital Chloe Lanier QUITS the ABC Soap
General Hospital spoilers tease that one of the soap’s biggest stars is leaving the daytime television show! In fact, Daytime Confidential reports that Chloe Lanier has made it official that she is leaving Port Charles in order to pursue other projects in her career. Chloe is best known for her character Nelle, a role that she has been playing since 2016.
So far Chloe herself hasn’t made any comments about her decision to leave General Hospital, although her fans are quite shocked over the move. After all, Nelle is currently pregnant with her first child and she has had one of the most dramatic storylines involving her stepsister, Carly (played by Laura Wright). Nelle managed to successfully push Carly out of the picture by claiming that she supposedly pushed her down the stairs at her baby shower at the Quartermaine mansion. Since then, Carly has been not only forced to claim that she is mentally insane, but has been locked up at the Ferncliff mental institution as a result.
Now, as far as what is going to happen to Nelle remains to be seen. So far General Hospital producers have made no comments as to whether or not they will recast the role or kill Nelle off. After everything that Nelle has done to Carly and the rest of the Corinthos family, it would only be fitting to say good-bye to her. Then again, she has been one of the most riveting character on the show. Many fans have credited Chloe Lanier for some of the most dramatic moments between Nelle, Carly, and Michael. (Chad Duell)
