General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that Lulu Spencer will soon awaken from her coma. That’s because Daytime Confidential is reporting that former All My Children’s (AMC) star Alexa Havens has been recast to play the character.
More details, below.
GH Spoilers: NuLulu Spencer Officially Here
Reports reveal that the soap did an extensive search for the “NuLulu”, ultimately choosing to go with Havins, who played Babe Carey on AMC from 2003 to 2007.
There was a ton of speculation over who would play Lulu after it was confirmed that the last actress in the role, Emme Rylan, was not asked to return.
From former Days of Our Lives star Marci Miller (ex-Abigail DiMera) to Yellowstone fan favorite, Jen Landon, there was a ton of buzz around who the next Lulu would be. Now, it looks like Havins has scored the coveted GH role.
GH Spoilers: Lulu Spencer’s History With Port Charles
As the offspring of GH’s super couple (to end all super couples) Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), Lulu is a legacy character in the land of Port Charles, entering the canvas in 1994.
As a baby, Lulu was played by twins Amanda & Kerrianne Harrington from 1994-95, and twins Clare & Maribel Moses took over in 1995.
From 1995 to 2001, a little Lulu was played by Alisyn & Kelli Griffith, until Stephanie Allen entered the role from 2001 to 2003, and then Tessa Allen from 2004 to 2005.
Actress Julie Marie Bergman was recast as Lulu after the character was SORASed into a teenager and was with the soap from 2005 to 2013.
When Bergman left, Emme was recast shortly after in 2013 and left the show in 2020 when Lulu suffered from a coma after an explosion at the Floating Rib, and was sent to a facility outside of PC.
With Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) also returning to GH, looks like Mayor Collins will have a full house at her condo. Still, will Lulu remember her past?
Will chemistry or sparks be felt between her and her ex, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)? Only time will tell!
