General Hospital Comings And Goings: Constance Towers Back – Helena Cassadine Returns To TERRORIZE Port Charles

ABC General Hospital spoilers tease the fantastic news that the one and only Constance Towers is back to terrorize Port Charles, NY! It is a fabulous return for a character who has been too long gone—and is possibly not dead?

While the classic ABC soap tapes in Los Angeles, Constance is filming at her home likely in part because she is in a high-risk group for COVID-19 based on her age. The show has a limited number of actors back to production and taking all of the required coronavirus precautions as mandated by the state of California.

General Hospital Coming and Goings

It was back in July that fans last saw the Cassadine terror, via the show’s flashback episodes. At that time the show was airing encore episodes due to the coronavirus pandemic bringing production to a halt. At the time fans were treated to many familiar blasts from the past and the inimitable Constance Towers as Helena Cassadine was one of them.

A Blast From The Past Is Set To Terrorize Port Charles Once Again

The news of Helena’s auspicious return just broke and there are no details about how she will return or what her reason will be. Will we only see her in a dark and secluded room supposedly far, far away from Port Charles? Or will she actually descend on her broom onto Spoon Island for a spooky visit with her grandson Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma)?

Or should we assume that Helena is as dead as ever?

Helena Cassadine Is Back To Spook Port Charles

Nikolas has a lot to answer for after marrying Ava Jerome (Maura West) and risking his fortune on a loveless marriage.

He has talked to his “ghost” grandmother in the past, and now would be a good time to seek her counsel.

Then again, there are plenty of possibilities for Helena’s return starting with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Many think that the oddly charming bad guy has a partner in crime. Someone of his stature wouldn’t stoop to partner with just any old meanie, it would have to be someone of his magnificent caliber and that would be someone like Helena Cassadine.

Next month is a sweeping month and we now know that Helena’s arch-enemy Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) will return in November. Does this signal that Helena is coming back for her nemesis? Tell us what you think of Helena’s return GH fans!
