Now there is another exciting return announced. Emma Samms is confirmed to be coming back to Port Charles as Holly Sutton. Keep reading to get the details on the latest casting news.

GH spoilers reveal that the last time Holly was in Port Charles, she was there to take down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Victor had killed Holly’s sister and then kidnapped her son.

Even though there was a bit of a romance for Holly and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), that ultimately didn’t work out… again. After that, Holly left Port Charles. It was explained that Holly was heading to Australia to help out her son, Ethan Lovett (James Ryan).

With Holly coming back to Port Charles, fans can expect to see the character again in early September 2024. The details surrounding Holly’s storyline are being kept tightly under wraps.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that TV Inside predicts that when Holly returns, she could be seen with Robert again.

The publication also reported that a previous interview with Samms indicated that Holly and Robert could reunite romantically in the future. This interview was just ahead of the soap’s 60th anniversary special.

General Hospital Spoilers: About the Actress

Samms was first cast as Holly all the way back in 1982. After three years, the actress exited. From there, Emma appeared in Dynasty as well as The Colby’s before returning to GH from 1992-1993.

After that, Emma came back to play Holly in 2006, 2009, 2012-2013, 2015, 2020, and of course, the last time was from 2022-2023.

During Samm’s last stint as Holly, the actress talked to Soap Opera Digest about being able to keep up with the soap’s grueling production pace. Samms admitted she was dealing with Long Covid. The actress said,

“I haven’t slowed down production and that’s sort of the bar for me, just to make sure that I was a useful employee and not somebody who was causing trouble.

It has been and continues to be a joy for me to work on this show. I feel so comfortable there. Everyone’s so welcoming to me.”
